Woman, 19, tried to steal more than $1,200 in merchandise from Norridge Target store
Norridge IL Feb 19 2018 A 19-year-old Elmwood Park woman was apprehended by Target store asset protection agents and charged with retail theft on Feb. 7.
Security agents said that the woman loaded more than 70 items of merchandise into shopping carts, and then bags, and left the store without paying.
Tatyanna Congelosi, of the 2600 block of North 74th Court, is due in court on March 1.
An officer was dispatched at 8:29 p.m., to the store at 4050 N. Harlem Ave.
A loss prevention agent told police that Congelosi had approached various displays of merchandise, ranging from clothing to electronics. She placed approximately 73 items into a Target cart, the agent said, and later concealed the items into empty Target bags, leaving without paying.
She was stopped by the agent. The items were recovered. The merchandise was valued at $1,230.95.
