Woman arrested after allegedly assaulting 7 in Mississauga shopping mall
Peel Canada Aug 27 2021 Peel police are asking for assistance to help identify victims and witnesses of assaults that allegedly took place inside a Mississauga shopping mall on Tuesday.
At around 5:15 p.m., Peel police were called to a mall near Hurontario Street and Burnahamthorpe Road West for reports of a woman assaulting people, according to a police release.
Through video surveillance, officers determined that a female senior and a young child were among seven people assaulted.
Officers worked with mall security to find the woman, who was then arrested.
Police have not been able to identify the victims and they have not reported their injuries, according to the release.
A woman, from Kitchener, was charged with seven counts of assault, assault on a police officer and mischief over $5,000.
Police ask that anyone with information or anyone who was assaulted during this incident to contact Const. Hammond at 905-453-2121, ext. 1100.
The woman was set to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on Tuesday.
