Woman arrested after pointing replica gun at security guards in SW Portland
PORTLAND, Ore. April 2 2019— A woman was arrested after pointing a replica gun at security guards in a crowded area near the Portland Saturday Market.
A police officer on patrol was informed about the woman pointing the gun at around 2:17 p.m. Saturday.
Other officers responded and found a woman who matched the description of the suspect at Southwest Second Avenue and West Burnside Street.
Police say the woman wasn’t cooperative but after a brief struggle, officers were able to arrest her. They found the replica gun in the woman’s bag and seized it as evidence.
Police called it a “realistic looking BB pistol.”
The suspect, 32-year-old Joelle M. Bostick, was booked at the Multnomah County Detention Center on two counts of menacing, interfering with a police officer, second-degree disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.
