Woman arrested at Advocate Condell Medical Center for assaulting security

Police say that a woman who was asked to leave a patient’s room became disorderly and combative when security was called.
According to the police report, Tawnya Leyan Werthman, 45, of the 1600 block of Amarias Drive, Round Lake, was charged May 23 with battery.
According to the reports, Werthman was at Advocate Condell Medical Center, 801 S. Milwaukee Ave., when around 4:40 p.m. she was asked to leave a patient’s room and proceeded to hit a security guard multiple times.
Werthman is scheduled in court June 21.
It’s unknown if the security officer was injured.
