Woman arrested for disturbance at mall at assaulting Richland Township police officer
Richland Township Sept 15 2018 A Johnstown-area woman has been accused of assaulting a Richland Township police officer during a dispute at The Galleria.
Police charged Caitlin Elizabeth Sweetser, 27, of the 100 block of Ashlyn Drive, with aggravated assault of a police officer, simple assault, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.
Police said Sweetser became irate when mall security asked her to leave the building after causing a disturbance on Tuesday.
When police arrived, Sweetser was yelling profanities, the complaint said. She allegedly dropped to her knees and began kicking the officer in the chest while she was being arrested.
She was arraigned by on-call District Judge Mary Ann Zanghi, of Vinco, and sent to Cambria County Prison after failing to post 10 percent of $15,000 bond.
