Woman Assaulted Garden City Library Security Guard
GARDEN CITY, NY January 2nd, 2022 The Garden City Police Department reported that a library security officer was assaulted by a woman.
Officers responded to the Garden City Library where a 24-year-old woman assaulted a security guard after being advised the library was closing.
The woman repeatedly punched the 26-year-old female guard and threw her onto a table.
The guard suffered facial, nose and head injuries.
The woman fled the scene, but officers located and arrested the subject on Franklin Avenue.
Her name was not released.
