Woman Attempts To Pull Handgun During Argument At Towson Hotel, Bites Security Guard

A woman’s handgun went off during an argument with staff at a Towson hotel, police said.
No one was hurt.
At 2:07 p.m. Monday, police responded to the reported shooting at the Days Inn in the 8700 block of Loch Raven Boulevard.
Officer Jennifer Peach, a police spokeswoman, said the guest got in an argument with the person working at the front desk and a security guard attempted to intervene.
The woman reached into her handbag for her handgun and it accidentally went off.
No one was struck, but when the security guard subsequently tried to detain the woman, she bit him. He was taken to an area hospital as a precaution.
Charges are pending.
