Woman charged with assaulting NYC school security agent
STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. Dec 20 2017 — A West Brighton woman allegedly assaulted a school safety agent at PS 18 Tuesday morning.
Authorities said 36-year-old Awilda Moulier, of Taylor Street, attacked the female victim while she was closing the doors of the school around 8:20 a.m.
Moulier caused lacerations, scratches, and bruises to the 38-year-old vicitim’s face after punching her several times, police said. The victim was transported to Richmond University Medical Center in West Brighton, police said.
A spokeswoman for the Department of Education said they would ensure “appropriate follow-up action is taken.”
She was charged Tuesday with misdemeanor assault and harassment charges, according to a criminal complaint. Her attorney information was not available Tuesday night.
