Woman claims Philly club bouncer physically assaulted her
PHILADELPHIA PA Sept 14 2017 – A Philadelphia woman who visited a local gentlemen’s club contends she was assaulted and seriously injured by one of the venue’s bouncers in the club parking lot.
Shavonda Morgan of Philadelphia filed suit in the Philadelphia County Court of Common Pleas on Sept. 5 versus Vanity Grand Cabaret, MAG Pass LLC (doing business as “Vanity Grand”) and MAG Enterprises, all of Philadelphia.
On Feb. 16, 2016, Morgan was a guest at the Vanity Grand Cabaret on Passyunk Avenue in Philadelphia. At about 3 a.m., Morgan was walking to her car when she says she was assaulted and severely injured by a bouncer/security guard of the defendant establishment.
Morgan claims the defendants failed to provide adequate security, train its employees or take any means to prevent her injuries, among numerous other failures in operation.
In the assault, Morgan claimed to have suffered severe bodily injury to her head and face, including but not limited to fractures of two teeth requiring surgical removal laceration, the placement of implants and a severe laceration of her upper lip requiring surgical repair.
For a single count of negligence on the part of all defendants, the plaintiff is seeking damages in excess of $50,000, plus interest and costs.
