Woman headbutts, kicks officers in the groin after being told to leave soup kitchen
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio November 6 2018
A Youngstown woman is behind bars after allegedly attacking officers while being told to leave a downtown soup kitchen.
Twenty-seven-year-old Kathyushka Trevino was booked into the Mahoning County Jail on Saturday on charges of trespassing, disorderly conduct, and assault on a peace officer.
Police say a security guard at Skip’s Soup Kitchen on Mahoning Avenue called officers to report that Trevino had been disrespectful and combative several days in a row.
A report says officers told Trevino that she wasn’t welcome at the soup kitchen anymore and that she needed to pack her stuff and leave.
According to the report, Trevino began yelling at several other people who were there. The investigative report reads, “As she was reluctantly packing up her things she became more and more angry; yelling obscenities at everyone.”
Police say an officer picked up one of Trevino’s backpacks, at which point she allegedly lunged at the officer.
Trevino was then placed in handcuffs and allegedly began fighting with police.
A report says Trevino kicked two officers several times in the legs, shins, and groins. Officers say she also head-butted one of them at least twice.
Trevino was allegedly placed into the back of a cruiser where police say she continued to spit and kick.
Trevino is being held in the Mahoning County Jail until her first court appearance.
