Woman shoots her boyfriend at Dayton Mall Sears store

During an apparent domestic argument incident in the sears parking lot of the Dayton Mall, a woman pulled a handgun and shot 10-15 times at the male that she was having a confrontation with.
According to Montgomery County Regional Dispatch, the report about the shooting came in about 4:45 p.m. on Monday.
The man, identified as her boyfriend was hit at least once in the leg, Miami Twp. police said.
Though police have not released the name of the shooter, a woman by the name of Jordana L. Esses, 48, was arrested Monday evening in the area where the incident occurred. She was being held in the Montgomery County Jail Tuesday on a felonious assault charge.
Miami Twp. police said the couple stopped for supplies at Sears in Dayton Mall and during that time a verbal argument escalated into the shooting.
According to the preliminary investigation, the male assaulted the female before she fired at him and there are visible injuries to the woman, police said.
According to a 9-1-1 call to Montgomery County Regional Dispatch, a caller described some sort of altercation inside a recreational vehicle involving a man and woman that ended with shots fired in the parking lot at the Dayton Mall Sears.
“He was hitting her,” the caller said. “Oh, she just shot him! She’s shooting at him!”
Police and mall security responded wuickly to the area and located the shooting victim and suspect.
In December, the owners of the Dayton Mall, Washington Prime Group, told this newsroom safety is their top priority.
“We work closely with the local police departments and our own security teams to provide shoppers with a safe, pleasant shopping experience year round,” Shelley Sloan, regional marketing manager at Washington Prime Group, said in a statement.
