Woman threatened to blow up Virginia Beach 7-11 store with fake bomb
VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. April 6 2018 — A woman was arrested and facing felony charges after walking into a Virginia Beach 7-Eleven, and claiming to have a bomb.
According to the Virginia Beach Fire Department, 33-year-old Crystal Mostek entered the 7-Eleven on Pleasure House Road around 8:30 Tuesday night.
Mostek allegedly placed a device on the counter and told the clerk it was a bomb. She then threatened to blow up the store.
Officials later determined the device was not a bomb.
Mostek was arrested and booked into the Virginia Beach Jail. Investigators have not yet released a motive for the hoax.
