Woodstock man arrested for spitting blood at nurse, security guards and kicking guard in the groin
Woodstock IL July 5 2021 A Woodstock man allegedly spit blood at a nurse and security guards and kicked one of the guards in the groin during an attack at Northwestern Medicine Hospital in Woodstock, court documents said.
Julio C. Enriquez, 34, of the 600 block of Quinlan Lane in Woodstock, was charged with three Class 2 felony counts of aggravated battery on a peace officer and one Class 3 felony count of aggravated battery on a medical worker.
A criminal complaint filed in McHenry County Circuit Court said that security guards at Northwestern Medicine Hospital in Woodstock attempted to restrain Enriquez on June 21.
Enriquez spit blood on a security guard and kicked him in the groin, the complaint said.
He also spit blood on two other security guards and on a male nurse. In addition, Enriquez bit the left thigh of one of the security guards.
An arrest warrant was issued for Enriquez and officers arrested him on Monday.
Enriquez is also charged in two additional separate cases with theft and disorderly conduct.
One of the cases alleges he slammed tables, displayed a knife and threatened to break a man’s jaw in the 200 block of North Benton Street in Woodstock on June 20.
The second case alleges that Enriquez stole a dog from someone in the 200 block of Benton Street in Woodstock on June 19.
A McHenry County judge ordered the man held in the McHenry County Jail on a $51,000 bond. He would need to post $5,100 cash in order to be released.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for July 16.
