York College security officer injured in hit and run accident
York PA Dec 3 2017 A York College security officer was injured in a hit-and-run accident last night around 1:45 a.m. according to Mary Dolheimer, York College of Pennsylvania assistant president of communications.
Dolheimer said a car hit and destroyed a guard shack off of Richland Avenue before driving away.
The security officer in the booth was taken to the hospital, but the extent of his or her injuries is unknown. Dolheimer declined to release the name of the security officer.
The security guard was a contract employee. Dolheimer said York College contracts out guard positions on weekend evenings.
Spring Garden Township police and York City police are investigating the incident.
