West Manchester Township PA June 19 2017 Police are looking for a man who they say grabbed more than $400 in childrens clothing from a Walmart in late May, then punched a security officer when he was confronted, according to an arrest warrant.

Luis Angel Soto-Rivera, 43, of the 2700 block of Crestview Drive, York Township, is wanted on charges of robbery, retail theft, and harassment.

Soto-Rivera is described as a Hispanic male, 6 feet and 2 inches tall, 160 pounds, with a mustache. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and a black baseball hat with stars on it. He left the area in a dark-brown Jeep Cherokee with tinted windows, the warrant states.

At 11:17 a.m. on May 25, police were called to the Walmart at the West Manchester Town Center, 1000 Town Center Drive, West Manchester Township for a theft and assault.

Once there, they spoke with a loss prevention officer for the store, who said that prior to their arrival, he was working inside the store when he saw a man take the clothing and stuff it inside a black bag, which he also took from a store shelf, the warrant states.

The officer recorded the alleged thefts on his cellphone from another aisle. The man, later identified as Soto-Rivera, walked to the front of the store, bypassing all registers and not paying for any of the items, according to the warrant.

When the officer confronted him and told him to stop, Soto-Rivera allegedly punched him, shoved him out of the way and ran. Soto-Rivera left behind the bag of merchandise and got into the Jeep Cherokee.

On June 7, the officer picked Soto-Rivera out of a photo lineup.

The suspect’s records indicate numerous guilty pleas for retail theft in York County Court of Common Pleas, according to online dockets.
