Youngstown man charged with assaulting court security, police officers
YOUNGSTOWN OH Sept 3 2017
Reports said a man who had his bond revoked Thursday after a hearing in municipal court faces new charges after assaulting a court security employee and a city police officer.
Terron Jones, 18, whose address is listed as homeless, now faces new charges of felonious assault and resisting arrest after he was taken into custody following a court hearing about 1 p.m. Thursday.
Reports said when Jones’ bond was revoked, he resisted being taken into custody and the court employee and police officer struggled with him in the elevator leading up to the city jail before Jones threw the police officer on the ground.
The security employee was going to use his electronic stun weapon on Jones but Jones stopped resisting, reports said. Reports said Jones also told the police, “Give me three minutes alone with you.”
Jones will be arraigned on the new charges later today in municipal court.
