Man critically injured after allegedly being shot by Ashwood Lounge security guard
DAYTON Ohio November 8 2018 Police, including homicide detectives are actively investigating a shooting at a local bar that involved an armed security officer.
Police said that the man was in “very serious critical condition” after he was allegedly shot by a security guard overnight Wednesday.
Police are still collecting evidence, interviewing witnesses and trying to understand what might have led to the security officer’s deadly use of force.
Officers responded to the reported shooting outside the Ashwood Lounge just after 12:45 a.m., and said they found a 29-year-old man lying in the street.
While investigating, they reportedly identified the suspect as a security officer who worked for the club.
That person, who police have not publicly identified, has been taken into custody, and charges are set to be presented to the Montgomery County Prosecutor.
