Man charged with assaulting Victoria police and security
Victoria AU Aug 13 2019 A 45 year-old man has been charged and bailed, following a violent incident at K Park on Saturday night.
The Corio resident was ejected for his bad behaviour during the Cats clash with the Roos, in addition to being intoxicated.
The man reportedly attacked both a security guard and member of Victoria Police, and was later subdued with OC spray.
Two Victoria Police officers were hospitalised for their injuries, with one exposed to the OC spray used.
The Corio man has since been interviewed and charged with a range of offences.
They include recklessly causing injury, unlawful assault, resisting police, assaulting an emergency worker on duty and behaving in a riotous manner.
He will face the Geelong Magistrates’ Court on December 9th.
