Walmart in Aurora CO shut down after 3 coronavirus deaths and multiple cases

A 69-year-old man who worked for an independent security company at the
Walmart store in Aurora Colorado has died from COVID-19.
The unnamed security officer was one of three store employees who have died from the virus.
The Walmart, at 14000 East Exposition, is now closed by order of the Tri-County Health Department in connection to the deaths of an employee, a store security guard, and an employee’s husband, according to a news release.
“There are six additional confirmed cases among employees,” the release said. There are three additional cases connected to the business awaiting lab confirmation.
Walmart staff and officials are being cooperative with the closure and an ongoing investigation, the health department said.
“We are extremely saddened by this news and offer our deepest condolences to the family and loved ones of the three people we lost,” said Dr. John M. Douglas Jr., executive director of Tri-County Health Department in the release. “These deaths underscore the severity of the highly-contagious coronavirus, and the need for diligent safety precautions to prevent any further spread, including the wearing of masks.”
