Shoplifter attacks Rite Aid security officer with ice cream, punches
SUISUN CITY CA April 27 2020— Three women attempted to walk out of the Rite Aide store with some food items at approximately 8:25 p.m. Thursday.
When confronted by security, they physically attacked the security officer by throwing ice cream at him, according to an email Friday from Police Chief Aaron Roth. One suspect punched him with an energy drink can and fists before fleeing in a vehicle.
The security guard sustained bruises and cuts.
Police are reviewing surveillance footage for an image of the suspects.
