Customer refuses to wear mask, assaults security guard
Laredo TX Sept 14 2020 A customer not wearing a mask led to the assault of the security guard at Tacos Kissi on 4402 McPherson Rd., according to Laredo police.
On Aug. 28, Alberto Garcia Jr., 22, was at Tacos Kissi when the security guard asked him to wear his mask. Garcia alleged that the security guard asked him “in a rude manner” escalating an argument inside the business, states the arrest affidavit. The security guard then told Garcia to leave the business.
“This is where Mr. Alberto Garcia Jr. then struck (the security guard) across the face two times with an open hand as the confrontation escalated,” states the affidavit.
Brenda Leticia Bautista, 42, was also involved in the altercation and also assaulted the security guard, according to court documents. Police said the surveillance video showed her striking the security guard with an open hand. The security guard added that Bautista hit him in the forehead with a large cellphone, according to the affidavit.
Bautista and Garcia were arrested and charged with assault on a security officer. Webb County Jail records show both were released on bond.
