Portland security officer found homicide victim
PORTLAND, Ore. Aug 29 2021— Portland police and Crime Stoppers of Oregon are asking for tips from the public in hopes of furthering a homicide investigation after an 18-year-old was shot and killed earlier this month.
Officers initially responded to a medical call shortly before 5 a.m. on August 7 in Southeast Portland.
A security guard found a man on the ground. When medical personnel got to the scene, they determined that the young man was dead.
Police said officers also found evidence of gunfire at the scene and homicide detectives began to investigate the circumstances of the man’s death. A medical examiner later determined that the victim, identified as Dohnavinh Saelee, died from gunshot wounds.
No arrests have been reported in the case. Anyone with information on the deadly shooting is asked to contact the Portland Police Bureau. Tips can also be made anonymously through the Crime Stoppers of Oregon, which offers cash rewards of up to $2,500 cash for information that leads to an arrest in any unsolved felony crime.
