Bella Vista police officer is remembered after he died from COVID-19
BELLA VISTA, Ark. October 27 2021
The Bella Vista Police Department announced Saturday the passing of Officer Chris Cummins after a months-long battle against COVID-19.
The department took to Facebook, writing “It is with heavy hearts we mourn the passing of one of our own today, and offer our deepest condolences to his family and friends. Rest in peace, Officer Cummins.”
Cummins had been battling the virus on a ventilator at Northwest Health in Bentonville since mid-September.
A funeral will be held from Cummins Friday at 11 a.m. at Cross Church in Rogers. It is open to the public.
A procession for family and law enforcement will start at 9 a.m. at the Bella Vista Funeral Home. It will follow Rogers Road to Lancashire Blvd. to U.S. 71. It will then join I-49 to the exit at Pinnacle Hills.
