Police searching for security guards who shot 2 men at Houston nightclub and then fled
HOUSTON, Texas January 12, 2022Â Two men were shot by security guards on Houston’s northside overnight, according to police.
The shooting happened at 2:17 a.m. Tuesday outside a club in the 4400 block of Cavalcade Street.
When police arrived, they found two men, both shot in the leg.
According to investigators, a large fight between approximately 30 people broke out in the parking lot of the club.
At least seven security guards got involved, trying to break up the fight, police said.
That’s when officers said two of the guards pulled out their guns and began shooting.
They tried to tell the people to stop. They didn’t,” Lt. E. Pavel said. So the guards began firing into the crowd injuring two men. One of the men was shot seven times.
A 25-year-old man was shot twice in the leg and a 30-year-old man was shot seven times in the leg, police said.
Investigators said the security guards who fired the gunshots fled the scene.
Both victims underwent surgery and are expected to survive.
Police are searching for the security guards who left before police arrived.
