Alabama security officer passes away from COVID-19 Virus
Birmingham AL April 2 2020
Big Barry, a well-known security officer working in retail loss prevention and at the nightclubs in the evenings, has passed away after being infected with the Coronavirus.
Barry Howard, 49 grew up in Montgomery and worked briefly in law enforcement being taking an internal security position with Macy’s.
The father of three also worked the club scene in Montgomery and Birmingham weekends and loved to coach little league baseball.
Johnny Williams, a friend from Bessemer said Barry was a big guy in stature but was a softy most of the time. Don’t get me wrong Williams said, when he was doing security, he did his thing. He was not one to get over on.
We’re all gonna miss him.
