Chambersburg Hospital patient arrested for threatening, spitting on security guard
FRANKLIN COUNTY PA April 23 2020 Chambersburg Police say they recently arrested a hospital patient who verbally and physically assaulted security officers.
According to police, officers responded to the Chambersburg Hospital ER on April 21, 2020 for reports of a disorderly patient who was fighting with security and staff.
Once on the scene, police say they determined that 41-year-old Samuel Lyon exited his room and began verbally threatening hospital staff and security.
Police say Lyon then initiated a physical altercation with security officers before being held down on his bed.
During the altercation, authorities say Lyon spit directly into the eyes of a hospital security officer.
Lyon faces multiple charges in the incident including aggravated assault, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness.
