Man drops bag containing 33 grams of meth on floor of Wind Creek Casino

A 30-year-old Montgomery County man dropped a plastic bag on Monday afternoon containing 33 grams of methamphetamine, a phone and a digital scale on the gaming floor of the Wind Creek Casino in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania State Police report.
Casino security notified Pennsylvania State Police, who have a bureau of gaming enforcement at Wind Creek, at 3:10 p.m. that the bag was found police said. A subsequent police field test of the drug came back positive for meth, court papers say.
Zachery Ian Winters, of East Greenville, was seen on casino surveillance losing the bag, police said. About 8 p.m., security notified state police that Winters was in the food court, and he was taken into custody about 15 minutes later, police said.
Winters was arraigned before District Judge Alan Mege on charges of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia, records show. Winters was housed in Northampton County Prison in lieu of $50,000 bail, records show.
His preliminary hearing is tentatively scheduled 9 a.m. Aug. 24 in District Judge Nicholas Englesson’s court in Bethlehem.
Court papers do not list an attorney for Winters.
