Melbourne festival security guard allegedly assaults three police officers
Melbourne AU Feb 17 2020 ight has been remanded after a brief court hearing.
Reace Desland, 27, from Truganina didn’t appear at the Melbourne Magistrates Court on Sunday and will reappear before the court via video link on February 24.
It’s Mr Desland’s first time in custody.
Three police officers were injured after the alleged attack by Mr Desland, who was working as a security guard on Saturday night at a sold-out festival.
It was alleged that Mr Desland was approached by Sergeant Van Maanen at the conclusion of the event to ask where to best place the police vehicle to help with the movement of patrons.
