Men put knife to Virginia security officer’s throat during fight
WOODBRIDGE, VA April 10 2020 Prince William County police officers went to the Potomac and Rappahannock Transportation Commission Terminal around 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday to investigate a fight.
The police learned that a PRTC security guard and an unknown man, later identified as Anthony Tyrone Langhorne, were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated.
During the incident, Langhorne pushed the security officer to the ground and struck him several times before being detained, according to the Prince William County Police Department.
At that point, another unknown man, later identified as Kenneth Robert Clayton, began kicking the security guard before brandishing a knife and holding it to the security officer’s throat, police said.
A second security officer was able to intervene and separated the parties.
The security guards contacted police as Langhorne retrieved a metal pipe and advanced toward them, the police said.
Both men fled the area on foot prior to police arriving at the scene, located at 14700 Potomac Mills Rd.
Officers located and detained both men a short distance away.
The security guards reported minor injuries.
The two men are being held in jail on charges of attempted malicious wounding and assault and battery.
