Notre Dame hires security guards after students violate quarantine rules
Notre Dame, IN Aug 29 2020
The University of Notre Dame is hiring more security after students placed in quarantine violated rules.
The students reportedly violated safety protocols and left the off-campus apartments and hotels.
Dennis Brown, Notre Dame spokesman, said students under quarantine agreed to a code of conduct that required them to remain in designated rooms.
The university says students who break the rules will face consequences, including possibly being kicked off campus.
Now eight security guards will patrol the facilities around the clock to ensure students follow the rules.
