Off duty MO. police officer shoots woman at nightclub while working security
ST LOUIS COUNTY MO Nov 30 2017 – An off-duty municipal police officer was involved in a shooting at Club Cuetopia in St. Louis County late Tuesday night.
According to Sergeant Shawn McGuire, a spokesperson for the St. Louis County Police Department, a 23-year-old woman was physically assaulted inside Club Cuetopia by an unknown subject.
A 23-year-old man confronted the unknown subject inside the bar about the incident and was shot at least once, Sgt. McGuire said.
After the shooting, the 23-year-old woman who was physically assaulted ran outside the bar with a handgun and was confronted by an off-duty municipal police officer, who was working security at the bar in full uniform.
The woman flourished the handgun at the officer, and the officer shot the 23-year-old woman.
Both the 23-year-old woman and man were transported to local hospitals in critical condition.
