Police and security officer’s quick response to alarm helped nab burglar

An alarm sounding at the Post Oak Mall just after 2 a.m.sent police and security to the scene.
The security officer verified that someone was inside the mall after hours and police quickly found the suspect driving away from the mall.
According to CSPD Sergeant Gatlin Kling, the suspect tripped the store’s alarm system inside the mall.
Police say the Demond Finister, 43, left the store and headed south on Highway 6.
An officer pulled him over near Rock Prairie Rd where they shut down the southbound lanes of the highway during the arrest.
Police say they found jewelry from JC Penney in Finister’s possession.
He was taken to the Brazos County Jail and charged with burglary of a building.
College Station Police have reopened Highway 6 after shutting it down during the arrest of a burglary suspect.
