Puerto Rico security officer injuries and death statistic continue to be mostly unverifiable
San Juan R.R. October 2 2020
Although Puerto Rico is a territory owned by the U.S. and statistical data is collected for law enforcement injuries and deaths, it has been much harder to collect real numbers for the security industry.
Starting in 2011, Private Officer International has repeatedly contact numerous government agencies with little corporation.
Even the news agencies seem to either not report incidents where security officers are ambushed, attacked, injured, or killed, or they barely skim over the incidents with few details.
One of the issues has been that some agencies representatives only speak or only say that they speak Spanish while others have told Private Officer International representatives that the information is not available to the public.
