S.Africa security guard shot during robbery
South Africa April 15 2018 The police’s Thulani Zwane says two robbers stormed a shop there just after 9am this morning.
Two security guards then responded to the robbery.
“They held up staff and then they demanded money. Before fleeing, it is alleged that they were approached by security guards. They opened fire, wounding one security guard. He was then taken to hospital.
“The other security guard managed to flee the scene. The stolen firearm was later recovered. One suspect was later arrested with the help of community members,” Zwane said.
The 19-year-old suspect will appear in the Ntuzuma Magistrates’ Court on charges of attempted murder and armed robbery next week.
