Security guard charged with harassment of former girlfriend
Frankfort IL May 22 2020
A Chicago security guard was arrested after he harassed former girlfriend and threatened to jeopardize her employment, according to police and court records.
At 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jason Allen, of the 8100 block of South Paxton Avenue was taken to the Will County jail on charges of harassment through electronic communications, harassment by telephone and disorderly conduct, according to court records.
Frankfort Deputy Police Chief Kevin Keegan said the victim in the case was in a previous relationship with Allen and she suspected he was harassing her via text messages and phone calls from various phone numbers since January 2019.
Keegan said some of the calls would either come to her directly or at her job in Frankfort. He said the victim was told by the caller that he was watching her and he planned to make her life miserable.
Frankfort police obtained phone and internet records that showed Allen was behind the harassment, Keegan said.
“It was a pretty lengthy investigation,” he said.
The criminal complaint filed against Allen said he sent messages to the victim, threatening to jeopardize her employment and ruin her life. The complaint also said Allen repeatedly called her with the intent to harass.
