Security Guard Struck by Marbles Shot From Paintball Gun During Robbery

A private security officer was shot with a paintball gun filled with marbles during an attempted robbery in North Hollywood.
The private security officer said that he is thankful for his bullet proof vest after being shot multiple times during an attempted robbery Monday night.
The security officer was sitting in his personal vehicle in uniform when a group of men in pulled up alongside him and started to demand money before shooting him.
Police said the group who shot him had loaded paintball guns with marbles. After the man was shot he pulled into a gas station to ask for help.
Thankfully he was wearing his bullet proof vest and was not seriously injured.
He did receive multiple injuries including cuts, bruises, and trauma injuries.
Police did not have detailed descriptions of the robbers at this time.
