Security Officer Murdered-Disarmed During Crime Rampage

A security officer who was stabbed repeatedly as his attacker robbed him of his firearm has died according to law enforcement.
According to police, the attacker, a 33-year-old man went on a violent crime rampage, killing 5 people and injuring two others.
The crime wave started in Garden Grove and ended in Santa Ana on Wednesday evening after undercover police officers tracked down and arrested the suspect.
The suspect had no personal connection to the victims, said Garden Grove Police Lt. Carl Whitney. “These are all random acts of violence,” he said.
The four dead are all men. Two other people were hospitalized in what authorities described as violent robberies. Police have not released the victims’ names.
The name of the security officer has not been released.
