Stockton charge man with assaulting security officer during robbery

After a 20-year-old store security officer stopped a man for allegedly attempting to steal property, the man reportedly struck the security guard with a glass bottle and fled.
Police were called and responded to the store in the 7500 block of Pacific Avenue about 4 p.m. Saturday.
Officers searched the area and found the man and took him into custody after a brief struggle.
He required a medical clearance at an area hospital before being taken to jail.
Officers arrested Joshua Pacheco, 39, on suspicion of robbery, assault with a deadly weapon and resisting arrest.
