Suncoast security officer knocked out during brawl
Queensland Australia May 13 2018 A Sunshine Coast security guard has been knocked out and hospitalized after a “big” brawl overnight.
Queensland Police were called to Kawana Waters Hotel on Nicklin Way at Buddina at 12am where a dispute was spilling onto the street.
A police media spokeswoman said it was a “big” fight at the sports bar involving “multiple people”.
“It was a fight at a sports bar, a licensed premises, basically a big brawl,” the spokeswoman said.
“One of the security guards was assaulted and unconscious with facial injuries.
“Queensland Ambulance Service officers were then called. We would have had a strong police presence called out too.”
A QAS media spokesman said the 25-year-old male security guard was transported to Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
The spokeswoman said no arrests have been made at this stage, however investigations are continuing.
