Teen Attacks Resource Officer At Stratford High School
STRATFORD, CT Feb 19 2020— A teen is charged after he attacked and injured a school resource officer last week at Stratford High School, according to police.
Stefan Thomas, 18, of Stratford, was arrested and charged after he refused Thursday to leave school property when asked to do so by staff and the school resource officer, police said in a news release.
When confronted by the school officer, Thomas attacked the officer and was subdued and taken into custody, according to the news release.
The officer suffered injuries and was treated at a local hospital and released, the news release said.
Thomas is charged with first-degree criminal trespass, third-degree criminal mischief, interfering with an officer, assaulting an officer, disorderly conduct and threatening, according to the news release. He was held on a $100,000 bond and is set to appear in court Feb. 27, the news release said.
