Salinas security officer shot during gunfight
SALINAS, Calif. May 28 2018
The Monterey County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting on 300 block of San Juan Grade Road in Salinas.
Police say the shooting happened outside of a house party in the Bolsa Knolls neighborhood, while several hundred people were inside the home.
The driver of a dark-colored pick-up truck exchanged several gunshots with a security guard outside of the party.
The security guard was hit in the lower body and suffered non-life threatening injuries.
Police believe the dark-colored pick-up truck has several bullet holes as a result of the exchange. They also believe four people were inside the truck during the shooting.
