Security guard investigated after firing weapon at Hazleton bar
HAZLETON PA October 22 2019 Police are investigating a shots fired call at a bar where a security guard was involved.
Around midnight Hazleton Police responded to a report of a gunshot around on West Diamond Avenue.
The business employees and a security guard reported said that they knew nothing about shots being fired but that some type of disturbance did occur.
Police said that they found one shell casing outside of the Mi Casa Bar.
Later security guard Jennifer Castillo allegedly admitted to firing a shot in the air after three men allegedly told her they would come back with a weapon.
Officials say the bar exceeded its capacity with more than 100 people inside and was shut down by police.
Police say a weapon, along with a casing and a bloody sweatshirt were taken as evidence.
Police are determining if any charges will be filed against the security guard.
